Apart.sg Jewellery Care Instructions
Avoid scratches
Refrain from bumping or scratching as this could potentially damage your piece. In case of accidental damage, send us a photo for advice. We offer repair or recasting services for a fee.
Water
Do not immerse your jewellery in water for extended periods of time. We’ve never had an issue with our jewellery being worn in the shower, however, in order for your jewellery to last its longest, please keep them dry.
Sunlight
Store your jewellery away from direct sunlight.
Chemicals
Avoid exposing your jewellery to harsh chemicals and cleaning products, including perfume, hair spray, cleaning solutions, nail polish remover, and antibacterial hand sanitizer.
Silver Jewellery Care
925 sterling silver jewellery will tarnish with time. Tarnishing may occur more quickly under specific conditions like high humidity, proximity to the sea, or individual body chemistry. Do polish it with a polishing cloth from time to time.
Rose gold Jewellery Care
- When storing your jewellery, it is best to keep these pieces separate in a soft cloth bag or pouch away from other jewellery, to avoid the risk of scratching and prevent oxidation (blackening).
- Remove your jewellery before sleeping to avoid accidental damage.
- Remove your jewellery when bathing, showering and swimming, as soaps, shampoos, chlorine and saltwater are specifically more harmful to Rose Gold jewellery as ‘copper’ is one of the least resistant metals to salt-related and chlorine-related corrosions.
- Avoid contact with perfumes, creams, cosmetics and hairsprays, as well as any other chemical or acid-based products.
Defect/Warranty Coverage Information
It's important to note that we cannot assume liability for instances of misplacement, abuse, accidents, wear and tear, or improper usage of the item.
Since our items are handmade, we retain the discretion to determine if a defect qualifies for repair or a one-to-one replacement. All items are handmade and produced to a high standard. However, Apart.sg cannot be held liable for any inconsistencies in finish, colour or design occasioned by the handmade nature of the work. Any such ‘inconsistencies’ shall not be considered a fault.
In the unlikely event that you are not happy with your purchase, kindly send an email to hello@apart.sg, including your order number, comments, and a photograph illustrating the problem you've encountered. The rectification process is expected to take approximately 14 weeks, and we will notify you via email once your defective item has been addressed.
